Terms of Service
Last updated October 2026
These terms apply to Hashlings: the website at hashlings.fun, the Hashlings smart contracts on Robinhood Chain, and the Hashlings game (together, "Hashlings"). By connecting a wallet, digging, minting, staking, buying, or playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Hashlings.
Before you take part
By connecting a wallet, digging, minting, staking, buying anything or playing, you confirm that:
- you have read the Docs and these Terms, and you understand how Hashlings works and every risk described in them;
- you take part entirely by your own choice and at your own risk, relying on your own judgment and not on anything the Hashlings team or anyone else has said;
- it is solely your responsibility to find out whether Hashlings, and each part of it (including NFTs, crypto payments, chance-based features and prizes), is allowed where you live, and to follow those laws. If it isn't allowed for you, you must not use it;
- the Hashlings team is not responsible for you taking part where it isn't allowed, or for any consequence of it;
- you are solely responsible for any taxes on anything you buy, receive or sell.
1. Who can use Hashlings
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
- You may only use Hashlings where it is legal for you to do so. Some features involve paying for a chance at an outcome (see section 7). Laws on digital assets, games of chance, loot boxes and prizes differ by country. Checking and following the ones that apply to you is your responsibility alone; we don't check it for you and make no statement that Hashlings is allowed anywhere.
- You may not use Hashlings if you are on a sanctions list, or from a place where using it would break sanctions or other laws.
2. Your wallet
- Hashlings works with your own crypto wallet. You alone control it and its keys. We never ask for your seed phrase or private key, and we can't recover a lost wallet or reverse a transaction.
- Signing in only proves the wallet is yours: it costs nothing and sends no transaction. Your wallet address is your identity in the game.
- Network fees (gas) are paid by you and are not refundable.
3. Hashling NFTs
- Each Hashling is an NFT on Robinhood Chain. Owning it means you hold that token. The species, rarity and traits are drawn at random when it is minted and can't be chosen.
- You get a personal, non-commercial licence to display the art of Hashlings you own. All other rights in the Hashlings name, art, game and brand stay with the Hashlings team.
- A Hashling's in-game condition (HP, Stamina, XP and level) is kept by the game and travels with the token when it changes hands.
4. Digging and minting
- Digging is a proof-of-work race: your device searches for a valid hash, and the first valid one submitted wins the right to mint. Nothing guarantees that you will win, however long you dig or however fast your device is.
- Digging uses your device's processor or graphics card and its electricity. Use it at your own risk.
- A mint costs the price shown at the time, plus network fees. Mints are final and are not refunded.
5. Staking
- A staked Hashling is held by the staking contract until its lock ends. You can still play with it.
- Staking rewards come only from a share of future mints and depend on how many mints happen and how many Hashlings are staked. They can be small or nothing, and are never guaranteed.
- When a lock ends you have a grace period to relock before your share changes, as described in the Docs.
6. The game
- GOLD and in-game items exist only inside the game. They are not money, have no cash value, and can't be withdrawn or exchanged for money by us. We may change how GOLD and items work to keep the game fair and balanced.
- You need at least one Hashling NFT (held or staked) to play. Your in-game team is made only of Hashlings your wallet holds or has staked.
- The game, its rules and its features may change, be paused or end. Features described as planned may never arrive.
- The game is provided as it is, and may be unavailable at times.
7. Purchases and chance-based features
- HashCubes and Stamina Orbs are sold for ETH through the Hashlings shop contract. Prices are shown before you pay. Purchases are final and are not refunded, including if you lose access to your wallet or the game changes.
- Items bought with ETH can be used in the game but can't be sold back or converted into GOLD.
- Some outcomes depend on chance: whether a dig wins, which Hashling a mint draws, whether a rare encounter happens, and whether a HashCube catches it. When you pay for a HashCube you are paying for an attempt, not a result. A throw can fail and the cube is then used up. Nothing you buy guarantees that you will receive a Hashling or anything else of value.
- Caught Hashlings come from a fixed reserve of cards, which can run out. Limits may apply to how many can be caught.
8. Rewards and the monthly season
- Any season rewards, leaderboard prizes or other rewards are paid at our discretion under the rules we publish at the time. We may change or end them, set eligibility rules, and withhold rewards from accounts that break these terms.
- You are responsible for any taxes on anything you receive.
9. Fair play
Don't cheat. In particular, don't:
- use bots, scripts, modified clients or automation to play;
- exploit bugs instead of reporting them;
- attack, overload or try to get around the security of Hashlings, its servers or its contracts;
- impersonate other players or the Hashlings team, or harass anyone.
If you do, we may remove progress, GOLD, items or rewards gained unfairly, and block your wallet from the game and from rewards.
10. Risks
Using Hashlings involves risk, and you accept it. This includes, without limit:
- the value of NFTs and crypto assets can fall to nothing, and markets for them may not exist;
- smart contracts, blockchains, wallets and the game can have bugs, be attacked, or stop working;
- transactions can fail, be delayed or cost more than expected, and are irreversible;
- laws and regulations can change and may affect Hashlings or your ability to use it;
- you may spend money and receive nothing in return from chance-based features.
Hashlings is not an investment and nothing about it is financial, legal or tax advice. We make no promise of value, returns, rewards or future features.
11. No warranties and limits on liability
Hashlings is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, the Hashlings team and its members are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for any loss of tokens, funds, data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of Hashlings, from third-party services (wallets, blockchains, marketplaces, hosting), or from events outside our control. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days before the claim.
12. Third parties
Wallets, Robinhood Chain, NFT marketplaces and other services you use with Hashlings are run by others under their own terms. We are not responsible for them.
13. Changes and ending access
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; using Hashlings after a change means you accept it. We may suspend or end your access to the website or game if you break these terms or where the law requires it. Tokens on-chain stay in your wallet.
